Q&A with Dawn Jones, CEO of 29Eleven Media
Tell us a bit about 29Eleven Media LLC.
29Eleven Media LLC is a marketing company with positions mom & pop businesses, non-profits & ministries and Fortune 100 companies to present their best to the market place through branding, marketing, web/logo/graphic design and social media management.
What gave you the idea for your business and how did it start?
I’ve been doing marketing for over 20 years and decided it was time to work one-on-one with my clients to build my own business.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
Besides loving to see my clients achieve their goals, I could design all day long. There’s something about creating something from nothing and getting the inspiration to create from my clients.
What are your keys to making yourself productive?
I set goals on where I want to be and select clients that will keep me busy. I also am continuously learning so there is rarely any downtime.
Tell us one long-term goal in your career.
My long-term goal is to develop a branding program for traditional ministries.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?
I’ve learned to make sure that the client and I are on the same page and that our values align with one another.
What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?
I would recommend to seek out mentors as they can help you avoid hitting brick walls as well as give you feedback on what’s working and what is not.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
I absolutely love to cook!
