1. Tell us a bit about what you do.

I am an artist, in several mediums, born and raised in Pennsylvania and have worked within the fashion and art community for the last 20 years

2. What gave you the idea for (what you do/your company)? How did it start?

When I was very young, my father taught me to use his 35mm camera. My big break in the fashion industry was when I met Stephen Gan in NYC. He was just starting V Magazine and he gave me amazing opportunities as a young photographer. Stephen was instrumental in my career. He introduced me to people like Carine Roitfeld whom I was very privileged to work with. It was very courageous of Stephen to work with me at that time, he wasn’t afraid to try new people he believed in. I am so thankful for that and wish more people thought this way.

3. What’s your favorite thing about your chosen profession?

I love my team. They are the best in the business and integral to my success on a daily basis. Without them on my side it would not be as enjoyable as it is.

4. What does a typical day look like for you?

Most days, including shoot days, consist of communicating with my team on both pre-production and post to complete my commissions. While not on set, or traveling, I am researching art, film and music in hopes to express my next thoughts or ideas in whichever shape or form they may come in.

5. Tell us one long-term goal in your career.

Artistic Freedom

6. What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?

Always appreciate the good people around you.

7. What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?

Have a point of view and be fearless in its defense.

8. What are your favorite times to do outside of work?

My favorite times are when my friends and family are together. They are both 1 and the same. We do not always have the opportunity as a whole, but when we can, it´s magical.

9. Name a few influential books you’ve read and/or websites you keep up with that you’d recommend to readers.

There really are too many to mention. Considering my current profession, I am consistently inspired to understand the process and thinking of different artists. I could watch D.A. Pennybaker´s documentation of Dylan forever, for example. It exemplifies the concept of two artists working together which is extremely relevant in what I do.

10. What advice would you give to your younger self?

Take the good advice from the people around me that I love and forget the bad advice from the same people.
