What gave you the idea for your business and how did it start?

Honestly, it’s something I’ve been doing for years for family and friends… for free. I was just helping those closest to me get results in their careers and businesses. It took a close friend pushing me to finally monetize what I do so naturally… solve problems. The foundation of my business is finding solutions, not excuses.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

I’m passionate about helping people accomplish their goals consistently and live to their full potential. There’s nothing better than watching a person do what they were created to do… operate in their talents fully. I get joy when they get the promotion or the new client that moves their business to the next level.

What are your keys to making yourself productive?

I maintain a consistent daily routine. I take time each morning for myself through meditation and reading. I am also fiercely protective of my time throughout the day. All taksks, including phone calls, are scheduled. Most importantly, I make sure to set aside time for self-care to rest, reflect and refresh. My creativity is hampered whenever I’m off my routine.

Tell us one long-term goal in your career.

My long term goal is to build a company that provides leadership development training for college students and people in transition, either personally or professionally.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned has been that no matter where you’re from or what you’ve been through that you can be successful. Just don’t allow excuses to stop you!!

What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?

My advice is to two fold: (1) Gain clarity on your purpose and don’t lose focus on it. The how may change, but the why never does. (2) Commit to learning something new everyday. Your ability to learn will enable you to remain successful. No one ever knows everything.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my family and friends. I’m an avid traveler and a lover of the arts (dance, music, art and theatre).

Name a few influential books you’ve read and/or websites you keep up with that you’d recommend to readers.

I love reading. I often reread books to see what else I can learn. Most recently, I’ve read the following books: “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olsen; “The Power of Habit” by Charles Dunigan and “Option B” by Sheryl Sandberg & Adam Grant.
