Tell us a bit about Peachyz.

Peachyz is an urban brand that was created to empower women to get creative in the bedroom. We hope to increase self esteem in women and encourage self love! If a customer sees something that they like, and we don’t have their size, we will find it and we will personally order it for them. Not only will we order it, we will keep their size in stock for whenever they decide to order again. Yes, we really think our customers are THAT special! We hope that they always find something that makes them look and feel amazing!

What gave you the idea for your business and how did it start?

I love to shop and I love lingerie and lounge clothes. There was nothing on the market that considered how we all have different body types AND skin tones. Certain colors are unflattering on women with darker skin and features. I set out to create a boutique that gives a wide range of options so that everyone is included.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

Getting to know my customers! I love when customers ask for help and send pics and I can really get to know their personal style and what they might look good wearing.

What are your keys to making yourself productive?

Motivation. I wake up and look for motivational quotes or something that is going to motivate me to keep going. It could be a group of motivated entreprenuers in my facebook groups, people I follow on Instagram or just a Bible verse or quote to pick me up.

Tell us one long-term goal in your career.

One of my long-term goals is to open a flagship store that carries high end exclusive couture lingerie. I have really innovative ideas for styles that I would like to share and technology that can change how we see undergarments.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?

I’m still learning everyday, but the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to GET STARTED! I wish I had started and kept going sooner. When we keep going our mistakes are easier to spot and our vision becomes more clear.

What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?

Be original with how you present your store. We all are selling the same things at the same price points basically but it should feel like your own personal twist on style or even your own personal closet.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

I like to spend time with my two cats, my family and my close friends. Usually this time involves food and drinks. I like to cook and go to restaurants.

Name a few influential books you’ve read and/or websites you keep up with that you’d recommend to readers.

Instinct by T.D. Jakes, Until Today by Iyanla Vanzant and The Secret. I would recommend following Bob Proctor, Dr. Phil, or any guru that resonates with you.
