Q&A With Angel Tennyson, CEO of Avion Tax Services LLC.

Tell us a bit about Avion Tax Services LLC.

This business was created for the lower income community to get tax preparation and notary services done at a reasonable price.  The great part is I also operate on a volunteer basis as well just providing services to the elderly or giving tax advice to individuals.

What gave you the idea for your business and how did it start?

I started this company after taking interest in tax services for businesses and i expanded to the individual aspect of taxes.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing is actually helping others especially when it comes to explaining what he or she could do differently next year to help them with their finances, taxes, or to have less of a tax penalty.

What are your keys to making yourself productive?

Keys to being productive is always providing a service to individuals in need.  Knowing that I could help someone, saving someone time and money.

Tell us one long-term goal in your career.

One of my goals is to teach others the right way to prepare a tax return and learning more about financial freedom.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?

Never give up on a vision.

What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?

Just keep up with updates, if you’re for profit profit but help along the way, and invest in someone else (time and efforts).

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

Reading, different community activities, and tutoring.
