Interview with Dr. Anass Sentissi―Certified

Dr. Sentissi graduated from Functional Medicine University with a Diploma of Nutrition and Certification
as a Functional Medicine Practitioner. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and contributed as a research assistant in a PhD program of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University (Music Astrology).

During school at Functional Medicine University (FMU), he studied advanced training in medical
detective work and botanical medicine with Dr. Grisanti.

As a celebrated chef, he gained further inspiration in nutritional healthcare by offering natural food cooking classes and sharing the Functional Medicine approach to optimal health. The root of his philosophy for addressing chronic and autoimmune disease, combines both physical and mental-emotional healing methods. He strives to teach clients that their good immune health is dependent on the following:

A well-functioning autonomic nervous system, and healthy a gut.

A balanced, enjoyable diet chock-full of delicious, nourishing foods.

A support network of relationships with friends, family, and medical practitioners to support a healthy
mind-body connection.

What gave you the idea for your business and how did it start?

Wholestic Nutrition was founded in 2011 by Dr. Anass Sentissi, an integrative internal medicine
specialist, using food as medicine and teaching whole food cooking classes, quote: “I believe that food is
medicine and that achieving profound health, sheer vitality, and jubilant wellness is the result of mindful
eating. It is my mission to assist the world in practicing the art of this philosophy and of achieving

Drawing on the various healing modalities he encountered throughout his career, Dr. Sentissi focused
his practice on providing root cause resolution of chronic ailments, with a special focus on
gastrointestinal health, using integrative functional medicine.Since its inception, our care team has
empowered thousands of clients to take charge of their health and resolve many chronic conditions.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about my job when I read a testimonials from our clients, it’s great feeling to see
someone going through the transformation, changing completely their lifestyle and continuing wellness

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career

The course of growth always start when you fail, and believe to the power of the nature.

What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?

Every client you coach is a potential door to a new opportunity to learn a new medical case study,
because we are bio-individuals, even they come with the same chief complaints but the cause always
different, be consistent in your work and build good trust in your practice, because you never know how
they’ll be part of the larger picture of your life.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work? Cooking is my passion, Reading and watching documentaries, traveling and enjoying time with my family
