Tell us a bit about what you do.
As I am finishing up with my last real estate client, there is a business start-up that I am creating. I have created a solution to a problem that hinders many talented people from being noticed by the right organizations who would benefit from their talents and skills. I am building my business as a mobile application for individuals, companies, and educational institutions. The platform will enable talented professionals or individuals and startups in any industry, with the opportunity to be able to showcase their talent and experience to prospective employers or clients. It will enable organizations searching for such talent to connect with candidates based upon the individual’s presentation through a live stream platform to a global audience. I wanted to provide entrepreneurs, bloggers, individuals and companies with an opportunity that I did not have as I achieve my own place.
What gave you the idea of going into Real Estate Sales? How did it start?
I was looking to make money when I was going to school, but I was only 19 and I didn’t want to wait for the next four years to accomplish that. I took the advice of a good friend of mine who suggested getting into real estate. It took one year of study rather than four. I got into real estate and began making very good money.
What’s your favorite thing about your chosen profession?
My favorite thing about my job is meeting new people and making good connections. We do a lot of brainstorming to come up with solutions to resolve the problems for others.
What keys to being productive can you share with us?
The key to making myself productive is my morning routine. I meditate first thing in the morning. It clears my mental state and keeps me focus on what my goals are and what I want to achieve every day. Keeping productive by surrounding myself with others who are productive is another way of being productive. Also, keeping myself in good physical health, such as eating good foods and working out several times a week. I do all of these things to keep me productive.
Tell us one long-term goal in your career
One long-term goal in my career is to keep striving for success. It is an on-going pursue to become my highest self. It means to continue to educate and learn about myself and the world around me. I want to create things for people. I want the things that I create to become very well known around the world.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?
The most valuable lesson that I’ve learned is that it is critical to genuinely listen to people. Listen to what your customers are saying. Pay close attention to those who give you advise. In my experience, people think that they are listening to others but hearing people is much different than listening to what they are precisely saying. It is important to focus with clarity on each conversation. If you listen, many times people will answer their own questions. That is really where I got the idea for my start-up company. I simply listened to what it is that people want. I came up with a solution.
What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?
I would advise others to stay positive. No matter what obstacles come up, find a solution and keep moving towards your goals. Keep a focus on what it is that you ultimately want to achieve and don’t let obstacles get in your way of staying positive. Always stand back up on your feet and keep moving forward.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
I am an avid reader. If I am not working I am lounging on my couch with a good book. I also take flying lessons. It is my dream that one day I will be a pilot. The other thing I do is workout. I am very consistent with my workouts.
Name a few influential books you’ve read and/or websites you keep up with that you’d recommend to readers.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
This is one of the smallest books that you will ever read with a very impactful meaning behind the book.
Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss – This is an excellent book that I am currently reading.
The 5 Choices: The Path to Extraordinary Productivity by Kory Kogon, Adam Merrill, Leena Rinne- The book truly keeps you very organized and that is very, very important in life.
The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle – This book teaches you how to review the talent within yourself.
What advice would you give your younger self?
I would tell younger Vlad Rigenco to live the moment. Enjoy life as you are achieving your goals. Time is the biggest resource that we have. Learn how to manage and organize your time and you will achieve your goals much faster. But life is not a race. Achieve, but enjoy and live the moment. I will remind myself of this for many years to come throughout my journey thru life.
