Tell us a bit about Masters of Ring Entertainment.
Masters of Ring Entertainment is a national pro wrestling organization currently based in Wilmington, NC, focused on delivering the best family-friendly pro wrestling shows including pro wrestling fan expos, tribute events, and live pro wrestling shows.  We focus on Tradition, Honor, and Community as our core values.  We deliver MORE wrestling but we also have plans to do even MORE.

What gave you the idea for your business and how did it start?

Ironically, one of my close friends, Rob Kellum, aka pro wrestler and actor named The Stro helped me come up with the name, Masters Of Ring Entertainment a few years ago when I was considering starting the business before I actually did.  I’m so grateful for that and his trusted friendship with me over many many years.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

Nothing is better than seeing the live crowd enjoying something you helped create that was once just an idea into life.  Contributing to give fans lifetime memories with their favorite superstars, while they bring their families to our shows, is an honor.  I’m grateful for fans we see time after time, along with our first-time fans. My goal is that they consider us part of their family as we consider them part of ours.

What are your keys to making yourself productive?

Time-management for sure. I give dedicated time blocks to everything. If it’s not on my calendar, it doesn’t exist in my day.
Tell us one long-term goal in your career.
To bring MORE Wrestling to the international landscape with our live events.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?

I’m constantly learning and growing, but one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is to trust your instincts but to listen to those who came before you in this unique business and find the balance between past experiences from others and taking chances.
What advice would you give to others aspiring to succeed in your field?
Respect those who came before you, in pro wrestling, respect goes a long way.  Treat every day like it’s your first day.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

Work, (laughs).  I run a lot of different businesses so that takes up most of my time..and I love it.  Traveling around the world is my favorite thing to do outside of work.

Name a few influential books you’ve read and/or websites you keep up with that you’d recommend to readers.

In my industry, I follow WWE and All Elite Wrestling closely.  I pay attention to Stephanie McMahon’s interviews and I have a lot of respect for her business leadership and marketing acumen.  My friends WWE Hall of Famer “Diamond” Dallas Page and inspirational speaker Marc Mero I hold in high regard.
I read a lot of various marketing/social media industry news, and network marketing coach/thought leader, Ray Higdon is someone I learn a lot from in his books and courses.
